SIA plans new suite of products
Singapore Airlines promises its passengers “one of the boldest and most distinct cabin designs ever to be introduced” in its fleet of 777-300ERs and A380s.
SIA has been working four years on the new cabins and will unveil the new designs October 17. The airline’s panel of chefs have been developing dining options and Japan’s Kioto Industries will manufacture many of the premium class products. New seats, amenities, food and beverage equipment and an enhanced inflight entertainment system are all in the plans.
To complete the designs, the carrier looked to James Par Associates of London and Singapore. The company designed SIA’s SkySuite cabin and has worked on the luxury trains of the European Venice-Simplon Orient Express, PeruRail’s Andean Explorer, the Royal Scotsman and GNER’s high-speed train in the UK.
