CSA to sell catering unit
In a move that had been long anticipated, CSA Czech Airlines announced October 2 that it plans to sell its catering unit and cargo terminal and has been “in communication” with investors.
None were specifically mentioned in the release, and CSA says that all will be signing a non-disclosure contract in the run-up to the sale. The airline is also looking to divide the catering and cargo terminal into separate subsidiaries with registration in February 2007. “CSA would like to receive indicative quotes from investors this year and would like to select the winner of the tender for both companies in February 2007,” said a release from the airline.
Retained by the carrier will be its duty free shops at Prague Ruzyne Airport and its onboard sales business.
