HMSHost to build at three airports

Three contract extensions will place new HMSHost outlets at airports in Sacramento, California and Sarasota-Bradenton and Palm Beach, both in Florida.

The extensions were announced at the end of September. The new 10-year contract at Palm Beach is a joint venture with a company called Tarra Enterprises. As a result, there will be a new restaurant built at the airport’s Terminal C and growth and renovation at existing facilities.

In Sacramento, California, HMSHost will open a restaurant called Lemon Grass, a Quiznos Sub sandwich shop, Saladworks and three new Starbucks. HMSHost will also expand its California Pizza Kitchen, Burger King and Ale House. HMSHost has a five-year contract with an option for a two-year extension.

Finally, a new 15-year contract extension at Sarasota-Brandenton will make HMSHost the food concessionaire at the airport until 2022. In the spring of 2008, HMSHost will open the 12th Fairway Bar and Grill. The full service golf-themed restaurant will specialize in American cuisine and unique Scotch selections. Also opening in 2008 will be a Freshens yogurt shop.
