SSP is working with the founder of the famous Montreaux Jazz Festival on a new café as well as a number of other outlets as the new Terminal 1 extension in Geneva, which started construction this summer.
The addition will be built at a cost of CHF60 million (US$52 million). Landside features will be a free flow restaurant area called Les Jardin’s de Geneve and will include a Burger King, Starbucks, a Bento Asian Restaurant and Upper Crust Pizza parlor and a Mediterranean themed restaurant called Le Sud and an additional bar.
Past customs and security there will be a free flow restaurant called La Cuisines, which will serve a range of local and international dishes. There will also be a Caviar House & Prunier sea food bar and a Swiss style baker. On the roof of the new terminal will be a restaurant called Altitude that was created with the help of Swiss chef Giles Dupone who runs a restaurant called Le Lion d’Or on Cologny on Lake Geneva.
SSP will open the first unit in 2008 and the new terminal scheduled for completion in 2009.
