ANA opens up mealtime windows

Shortly after Japan Airlines announced that it would be adding more food service to its domestic flights, All Nippon Airways rolled out a line of snacks for its Super Seat Premium service on routes in Japan.

ANA also renamed the service “Premium Class.” Sandwiches, fruit, onigiri rice balls and cakes and selection of other lighter products will be served on flights as short as half an hour during meal windows. The Premium Class cabin with wide seat pitches of up to 50 inches and configurations of 2-1-2 on the 767s will be rolled out from now to 2010.

ANA is adding Champagne and wines to alcoholic beverage service, which includes beer and sake. A selection of Chuhai, soft drinks, vegetable and fruit juices also served.

The airline is also opening up its lounges in Osaka Itami and Tokyo Haneda Airports to its Premium Class domestic customers.
