Vecats, the Brussels-based joint venture company will provide the bond logistics and supply buy-on-board meals for Brussels Airlines out of the Belgian capital. Vecats is owned 49.9 percent by Alpha, with the majority ownership acquired by Brussels Airlines following the merger with Virgin Express and SN Brussels Airlines that formed the new airline. Vecats will supply 117 daily Brussels Airlines outbound flights the b.light brand of onboard meals. Brussels Airlines took its first flights at the end of March on routes that were previously operated by SN Brussels and Virgin Express. The carrier has a fleet of Avro RJ85s, RJ100s and BAe 146s, A319s and 737s and A330-300s for long haul routes to Africa.
