Finnair serving sushi in May

Business class passengers on Finnair will be served and schooled on the proper ways to eat Japanese sushi on European flights departing Helsinki during the first two weeks of May.

Common sushi served on the flights will be maki-sushi which is fish wrapped in seaweed and nigiri-sushi, which is hand formed clumps of rice topped with row fish.

Videos and instruction cards accompany the service. On the Airbus aircraft, a video program called Extreme Travellers, Nippon Whiteout will be shown. It is a destination program about the beauty of Japan.

Finnair operates 15 flights weekly to Japan. Destinations from Helsinki are Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.
