Iberia specialties on its Madrid-Barcelona service

Catalan Chef tapped for Iberia Shuttle

Business class service on the Madrid-Barcelona Shuttle route of Iberia will have new Mediterranean specialties from the Catalan Chef Sergi Arola.

The route, known at the Punte Aéreo (or air bridge) has hot meal service at all meal windows. Among the evening dishes after 20:00 are pasta and fresh fruit, salted gnochetti with baby squid and shellfish sauce, noodles with mushrooms or clams and macaroni with shrimp, broccoli and zucchini.

Iberia is also boarding foccacia bread and cocapizzas, breads with vegetables and mozzarella or onion and Idiazábal cheese. Iberia makes its cocapizzas with ratatouille and cheese and anchovies. Also on the menu are white and black Catalan butifarra sausage and fuet, with turkey, cheese and curry with tomato, mozzarella and fresh herbs.

Breakfast consists of omelets with cherry tomatoes, fresh fruit and a health drink. Breads are served with marmalades, coffee and hot pastries.
