Nanjing Airport looking for investors

Investors from Singapore and Amsterdam were topping the list of potential minority suitors for Nanjing Lukou International Airport as officials from the Chinese city scour the globe for potential partners.

Singapore Changi Airport and Schiphol NV were both looking at acquiring up to 45 percent of the airport, reports the Comtex News Service. Both parties have declined to share ownership and before the search is over, an additional investor may be found. However, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has set a limit of 49 percent for any foreign ownership.

The east China airport is 330 kilometers from Shanghai and is an alternate airport from Hongqiao and Pudong Airports. It has airlines flying to 54 cities and is on a track to grow to 10 million passengers per year over the next five years.
