Pakistani airport set to open in August

Sialkot International Airport will open August 14 sporting Pakistan’s longest runway, and will be a boon to the export-intensive region, reports the Financial Times.

The cargo terminal, apron, and road projects were completed earlier this year and a terminal for domestic passengers would be opening its doors soon, reports the Times. Sialkot is being developed on 1,004 acres and is part of the golden industrial triangle of Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat.
