Servair’s new upper deck truck is testing and Toulouse Blagnac International Airport
Servair central kitchen opens in Toulouse
After three years of consulting and planning, Servair announced June 11 the launch of its new operations in the city of Toulouse.
The operation, built in partnership with two local restaurateurs, gives the caterer a front row position to create “a solid base for planning and providing onboard services for the A380,” said a release from Servair.
Two phases are part of the partnership with restaurateurs Thibalult and Xavier Fernandez: the Pavillon d’Oc Traiteur is a fully operational central kitchen that provides inflight restaurant service and event catering. The Toulouse Air Traiteur is an airline catering company that will provide customers with catering and supplies.
Servair will be ready for the launch of the A380 with a new upper deck lift truck. Inside the aircraft, Servair Consulting has been developing meal strategies such as a buffet areas for the A380. Servair says the galley section has been given a “total facelift” and the caterer has designed tableware that will help reduce cost and weight that “will be opening the door to greater menu and cuisine choice.”
