Two Alpha units open in Sofia

The newly built Terminal 2 at Sofia airport in Bulgaria recently opened a World News Café and a Deli Sandwich Bar built by Alpha Airports Group.

Alpha says it has spent £500,000 (US$988,000) in Bulgaria over the past two years. Chief Executive Peter Williams said the two units “capitalize in the growing market in international travelers from Bulgaria and they help consolidate our expansion in Central Europe.”

Alpha has also signed a contract to supply Hemus Air on all its flights out of Sofia International Airport. Hemus operates 40 flights a week with domestic and international service.

The World News Café is 120 square meters with a combination of coffee, pastry and soft drinks. Customers can catch the news on flat screen televisions and browse through newspapers and magazines.

The Deli Sandwich Bar is 190 square meters and brings a New York-style deli with sandwiches, salads, pastry, pastry, coffee and soft drinks.
