Alpha opens new restaurant concept in Dublin

Alpha Airports Group will be sourcing local products for hearty, healthy regional fare at The Eating Place, a new restaurant opened recently at Dublin International Airport.

Alpha will operate The Eating Place under an existing 12-year contract with the airport. The restaurant is 460 square meters with 184 seats. Alpha expects to draw approximately 20,000 diners per year. In addition to the local fare, the restaurant has an omelet and pasta station. Irish breakfasts, chicken rotisserie and ribs will be on menu regularly.

Among the goals and plans for The Eating Place:

• Irish meats are sourced by a company called Gahan meats. They will be purchased in Tepprerary, Meath and Monahan & Cavan.

• Fresh herbs will be used in all the recipes in The Eating Place.

• The restaurants' bouillons and stocks will be free of MSG.
