Oakfield stocks products in DFW vending machine

Two meal kits from Oakfield Farms in Grapevine, Texas, will be part a 13-foot wide vending machine at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

A company called Shop24, which has a presence in airports and other public areas throughout Europe, is installing the machine. Its machines sell everything from diapers to telephone cards to coloring books to blood pressure monitors.

Oakfield Farms, which is part of the Harvey Alpert Company in Los Angeles, will be stocking two products. The first will be selection of health-oriented snacks with hummus, lemon-pepper tuna and organic chips and crackers. The second will have hard salami, peppercorn cheese spread, organic applesauce, kettle potato chips, chocolate cookies and wheat crackers.

A full story on Oakfield Farm’s new project with Shop24 and some of its latest efforts to find opportunities outside the travel industry will be in a special regional report on Texas in the September/October issue of PAX International.
