Autogrill nears complete ownership of Alpha

The summer-long bid by Autogrill S.p.A. to acquire Alpha Group took another important step this week when the Italian company announced July 23 that it had acquired an additional 49 million shares, representing nearly 28 percent of the company’s share capital.

The latest acquisition brings the total ownership by Autogrill to 96 percent of Alpha’s total share capital.
