Celebrity picks culinary consultant

A Las Vegas company that has worked with some of the city’s largest casinos and restaurants will now provide food and beverage expertise for Celebrity Cruises.

Celebrity announced at the end of June that it will work with Blau & Associates, a company that the cruise line credits for transforming dining in Las Vegas from one of 24-hour buffets to a “top-tier culinary destination.” What the cruise line calls the “Blau factor” can be found at Las Vegas spots such as Le Cirque 2000, MGM/Mirage, Billagio and the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Kim Canteenwalla, a former executive chef at the MGM Grand will work with Celebrity’s culinary staff to make “fresh, contemporary and creative concepts that will continue to deliver and exceptional dining experience onboard” said a release from Celebrity.
