Asiana to show calorie counts

First class passengers on Asiana Airlines will be able to know the number of calories in their inflight meals, reported the June 30 edition of The Korea Times.

Asiana will add the feature on its flights out of Incheon to Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Frankfurt and it will be expanded to all classes by this fall. The calorie counts will be based on a food and ingredients table from the National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology from the Korean Nutrition Society.

Asiana is also presenting a new range of low-calorie healthy meals with chicken breast, beef tenderloin and vegetables in a tomato coulis sauce.
