Alpha signs Silverjet, PIA

A menu range that “pioneers our vision to bring a new era of a la carte to the skies” is in the offing under a new contract Alpha Flight Services signed at the end of June with the all business class carrier, Sliverjet.

Sllverjet offers transatlantic service from London’s Luton Airport to Newark International Airport. The contract will run for five years. For the main meal service, Silverjet will offer a night flight breakfast service that can be pre-ordered like hotel room service to be served after a night’s sleep.

In other news, Alpha will now cater Pakistan International Airlines on its service out of Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester to Pakistan and the United States. The contract took effect in February of this year and will run until the end of January in 2010. It is valued at more than US$20 million.
