HMS gets CPH Contract
A seven-year agreement, that could mean up to €50 million (US$63) in sales will put three new HMSHost restaurants in Copenhagen International Airport starting in the second quarter of 2007.
HMSHost Europe announced the contract June 28. The company plans to put the three restaurants in the pre-security section of CPH. A contemporary Mediterranean restaurant called Ciao will offer 150 different menu items. An international coffee restaurant will offer pastries, sandwiches, salads and snacks and sell fresh roasted coffee by the pound. HMSHost will also have a Burger King restaurant selling the chain’s standard fare. The two parties indicated that additional restaurants might be in the works later.
“It is very important that Copenhagen Airport continues to develop and improve our range of food and beverage to be able to comply with our customer’s needs,” said Henrik Busch, CPH’s director of commercial affairs.
