CLIA picks Ueberroth for Cruise3sixty keynote
In an Olympic year, the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) has picked Peter Ueberroth, founder of First Travel Corp. to deliver the keynote address at the cruise3sixty conference March 7-9 in Fort Lauderdale.
Before starting First Travel Corp. Ueberroth earned fame as the chief organizer of the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. From 1984 to 1989 Ueberroth served as commissioner of Major League Baseball in the United States.
Ueberroth is now serving as chairman of the United States Olympic Committee as the group prepares for the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. He is on Coca-Cola Company’s board of directors as well as Ambassador’s International. He was Time Magazine’s Man of the Year in 1984.
