RCI’s Majesty sails home
After an intensive 28-day makeover, Royal Caribbean International’s Majesty of the Seas has returned to south Florida with new dining and entertainment options for its three- and four-night cruises from Miami.
Bahamas-bound guests will see a new face on guest suites, the main dining room and casual dining areas. The line added a teen-focused nightclub and a Living Room lounge along with enhancements to the entertainment lineup and a modernization of several venues.
"The revitalized Majesty provides convenient and enjoyable three- and four-night escapes in the most contemporary setting, albeit for business or pleasure," says Lisa Bauer, senior vice president of sales for RCI.
On the culinary side the Majesty has added a casual dining area called the Windejammer Café, which features Asian, Latin, Mediterranean and American cuisine. A sandwich bar, with soups, salads and paninis can be found in the Compass Deli. The other venues on the Majesty are; Johnny Rockets and Sorrento’s Italian pizzeria. A café called Latté-tudes features Seattle's Best Coffee®. Rounding out the new offerings is the Freeze ice cream parlor.
RCI launched the Majesty in 1992. It is the third ship in the line’s Sovereign Class to be refurbished. RCI redid the Monarch of the Seas in 2003 and the Sovereign of the Seas in 2004.
