Eagle trolley in final stages

The new Eagle trolley line from Driessen was undergoing final flight tests this fall.

The lightweight trolley, made of composite honeycomb material has been a year and a half in development at Driessen. Pieter van Calcar, sales and marketing director for Asia Pacific at Driessen said the company would be relying on comments by flight crew during the testing stages.

“We are going to see how the cabin crew reacts to the equipment,” he told PAX International at this year’s ITCA Asia event in Shanghai. “We may see some minor modifications.”

The new trolley line weighs from 14 to 17.9 kilograms. Driessen has designed the Eagle line with an improved dry-ice cooling system and a dual door that opens from the handle, among several other unique features.
