SSP wins Pudong contract

Select Service Partner will operate 10 foodservice units at the new terminal at Pudong International Airport when the facility opens in March of 2008.

The contract will run for seven years and is valued at 106 million pounds (US$207 million).

SSP plans a number of “specially tailored concepts” for the airport. There will be a Teppanyaki Japanese restaurant serving stir-fry fare. Peace on The Bund will recreate the atmosphere of 1930s Shanghai, serving Chinese dishes with a contemporary twist. There will be a Chinese tea house and a restaurant serving Shanghai and Cantonese cuisine, a Korean Fast food outlet and an Italian restaurant.
