The Austrian Caterer Do & Co recorded sales of €86.23 million (US$117 million) for the first quarter of this year and earned an estimated before income tax profit of €2.75 million (US$3.73 million) the company announced in August. Profits increased markedly from the first quarter for the Do & Co Airline Catering Division of the previous fiscal year. The company recorded an EBIT of €1.61 million (US$2.20 million) from €240,000 (US$325,460) from the same quarter last year. Do & Co attributed the increase to its acquisition of the Austrian Company Airest and new business for the company in Turkey. Overall sales in the catering division was pegged at €62.6 (US$85 million). |
