SIA to bring in the A380 in October

Singapore Airlines was auctioning off seats in a charity donation drive for people wishing to take the first flight on the A380 when the aircraft enters service in October.

SIA plans to initially operate the aircraft on the eight-hour flight between Singapore and Sydney. A release from SIA says that the shorter route will allow the carrier to have the aircraft back in Singapore every night “to deal with possible teething problems.”
