Air France gets ISO rating for food

A series of logistical and safety measures has earned Air France an ISO 22000 certification for all its meals served out of Paris.

The airline has introduced hygiene audit policies for its subcontractors, training for cabin crew, bacteriological tests for its meals and installed air chillers on its aircraft. Air France says it carries out more than 7,000 tests on its food supplies per year.

Air France plans to expand the certification process to flights from other stations.
