Swiss to add complete seat installation

Concluding a program that it launched back in October of 2006, Swiss will be adding new seats from Recaro in all classes of its 52-aircraft fleet.

The new seats have carbon frames and leather upholstery. Installation began with its A320 aircraft and continued through its AVRO RJ100s. Now, the airline’s entire European operations have new seating throughout the cabin.

Swiss says the seats are lightweight models that will reduce fuel burn.
