United picks Air Fayre for outsourced catering support
Air Fayre will provide logistics systems to manage the catering requirements for United Airlines at Los Angeles International Airport, the caterer announced March 31.
Air Fayre, which is owned by the Watermark Group will use its outsourced logistics model that provides supply chain coordination for all the catering requirements. The contract will run for seven years and will involve United’s entire domestic and international flights out of LAX.
To support the new contract, Air Fayre which is located in London, will open a new 53,000 square foot facility in Los Angeles.
“Our unique business model is scalable across the globe and we look forward to supporting United in its continued focus on business growth and customer service excellence,” said Nick Scott, managing director of Air Fayre.
